Well, sampled a set the other day, using the awesome pentagon (sounds infected)The first time i sampled the shots with compression already, and it sounded horrible. So i did another set, and added the comp afterwards, and it sounded Tit! i can definitley hear that shift-slug-dark psy touch..i think its cause the notes are exactly enveloped the same? maybe its the perfect gaps between the notes? ( I chopped a 1/96 bit off the end of each for a runner)and wow, to add bend dynamics on a base note in battery? just wicked man...Any thoughts on other advantages and techniques?
